New digital cam for the birthday, so I thought I would offer up some pics of my v-afc install and see what the H-T response would be (although if I screwed up and all you see are little red x's then I know what it will be). Anyway, if it works and anyone is curious, this install did require the removal of the cupholder. Hope they come out.

Thanks for the "fix" Hybrid ctr. The unit is flush mounted to a piece of black plastic that is cut to perfectly fit in that spot, i.e. you cannot tell it is not supposed to be there except for the fact that it is not coated in the fake carbon fiber of the rest of the console. Not only do I like the look down there, but it makes the unit harder to just grab out were the car to get broken into.

Thats great, but direct sunlight can hit the unit, which the instructions say not to allow. Also, isn't it hard to read during the day, when the sun hits it? I have mine above my review mirror.

 

What exactly did you have to use to get the custom plastic piece mounted?

 

Mother F'in dealer!! When i bought my car NEW from acura, they gave me a fuggin plain black ash tray, it wasn't CF! bahstads!!!!
