wondering if the maaco top dollar paint job was worth the cost. its base coat, clear coat, urethane. they use PPG, so i cant go worng with PPG. all i need is the outside work done, minimal body work, just a re spray of the outside of the vehicle.....LMK clear lifted.....

 

forgot to mention door jams and trunk allready painted, in good condition.....

 

there are tons of posts on the quality of maaco paint jobs. why dont you go there, ask them what you should expect from a "top dollar paint job" and go from there. maacos are all franchised(i think) so they are all different. i think that if you let them know what you are expecting they could do it. but if you ask them whats up and they can't guarantee it, i'd say save your pennies and go elsewhere. BTW i have heard of them painting a car without removing the license plate.........DOH!

 

A good paint job is 98% prep work, not quality of the paint at hand.

Maaco doesnt do **** for prep, so, to answer your question.

Unless you know someone who works there who does good work and you slip them some spare cash to take there time and treat it like there own... And slip them some evercoat rage extreme or something and convince them to not use bondo

 

thats atleast 2g's.u should go buy those paint/spray kit and do it yourself.
