i am thinking of buying a type r oil pump for my b18b1 block and wondering if it fits..

please let me know if it works

no it wont. well it will fit but the teeth are different unless your doing a LS-vtec

Wrong, oil pumps don't have teeth for the timing belt, the gsr, ls and itr oil pumps are the same, there is reason to pay more for an oil pump labeled "ITR oil pump" vs an ls or gsr oil pump. You're confusing ls and vtec water pumps. Read here.

I hate when shops like "Inlinefour.com" try and market ITR oil pumps as being high performance or an 'upgrade' over a ls or gsr oil pump.

What part of my post where I said "ls, gsr and itr oil pumps are the same" don't you understand?

Not sure if there is any point, you can just re shim the oil pump to get higher oil pressure.
