New clutch. Ez shifting when moving, doesn't like shifting when cold/sitting still.
Ok I just bought another DC. Brand new clutch installed by previous owner's family mechanic, had 100 miles. Now it has around 500 miles on the clutch. Broken in somewhat properly. When I first start the car after it has been sitting for a while, it is very hard to get into gear. It will forcibly go into gear. When I am driving it works PERFECT. When I stop it gives me a little trouble. I checked the fluid in the MC and it is dirty. I haven't noticed any leaks on the interior driversside firewall or in the bay by the slave cylinder. I am going to flush the tranny and bleed the hydraulic system. I am hoping that is all I have to do.
I just want to get opinions from people who have had the same symptoms. I want to know worst case scenario, ie: slave/master cylinder replacement.
Thanks in advance,
-Jeremy

ALSO, very important. I forgot to add that when the car is off it shifts fine. When I turn the car it the shifting instantly becomes stubborn. I was hoping this tidbit would help diagnose the problem.
I know how you feel. I had the same problem if you look at my threads you can read about it. try changing oil with honda manual tranny fluid or acura tranny fluid (what i used). also replace all cylinders. If nothing changed, i believe they were telling me how they installed the tranny is the next thing you have to check/.
I am thinking, that when they changed the clutch they didn't bleed the line since the mc fluid is extremely dirty. It is working pretty good today, I dunno if it is getting broken in or what. What ended up being your problem?
Hard to get into gear is signs of a failing clutch master cylinder. Inspect around the clutch pedal for leaking fluid.. if it is visible you need to replace the clutch master cylinder.. if you see no leaks and your not losing fluid from the reservoir.. then i suspect your clutch disc or pressure plate is malfunctioning.
For starters i would def bleed to clutch just to see if it helps

mine did that one time then never ever did it again and i didnt do nothing to fix it. how long's it been like this
I just bought the car at the beginning of March. I have been dailying it. I guess it is a little better, probably just optimism on my part. My parts from Acura will be here today so I am going to bleed the system and hope for the best. I don't mind replacing the mc/sc but I don't want to put a new clutch in.
