Default Please help me solve my starter problem on my 95 B18C1

A while back I was driving my car into town. I stopped for a while, turned off the engine and later on tried to restart the car. Everything came on but the motor did not crank.

I figured that it was the starter and later on when my friends mecanic dad came over, he pulled out a wire from the starter, cleaned it or something, plugged it in and then the car restarted..

What could he have done? What is the theory behind it?

Ya it was probably loose and had a bad contact. He probably cleaned and recrimped it, that's all. I'm sure your starter is fine.

I'm guessing that the contact was bad. The car runs fine now though
