Confirmed. And I am stuck. I want new speaker wire for my doors and my whole project for installing is siderailed by not getting stupid electrical connectors apart. Yes they are in a tight place. Can someone take a look at the pix in the link from ntpog who did a writeup on this. The plug looks exactly the same.
The one going into the door looks to only have a clip on the top that I press down on. Is this correct and I just need some brute pulling as the son of a bitch has been in there for 12 yrs on my 96 civic coupe?

If you can follow the thread the one on the inside of the door looks different but looks to have a lock tab just on top. I cannot feel anything on the bottom. After this it looks easy.

 

Here is the link for the one in the door. It looks like there is just a small snap tab on top. Seems line lift the tab up and pull out. Obviously not. Or is this just 12 yrs of dried up caked on crap holding them tight?

The one going into the door I have pressed that tab down and tried pulling in every way possible. Ready to take a channel lock on the thing but ran away before my temper got the better of me and i broke it. Pisses me off when something so small and stupid hinders a job.

 

Make sure there is no "secondary lock", lots of automotive plugs have a tab/pin that clips in under the release tab to prevent the tab from being pressed down enough the release the plug. 94
