Hi
I have tried the new search function but came up with nothing
I am In South Africa and I am looking for a set of B18C1 GSR cams to use in my LS/Vtec Turbo build
The B18C was never sold in South Africa so they are very scarce
The owner says someone told him that they are auto cams and are therefore different
So I dnt want to get them to replace my B16A cams and then they are similar to what ive got.
I know the B16A's have different cams for the auto and manual versions
If someone could pleae confirm whether the B18C1 also have different cam profiles for the auto and manual versions
Thank You

This is our car - has run a best ET of 10.0 @ 148 mph and still dialing-in the setup !
South Africa is at the southern most tip of the African continent
We have a variety of motorsports and various tracks - Hosted the A1 Grand Prix and have previously hosted Formula 1 events in the 1980's and the Superbike international series is coming here soon
Drag Racing has been around in SA since the 1960's
We have various Front wheel drives running sub 10's and one of my buddies ' FWD Unibody drag car has run a 8.7 @ 167 mph - GM based Opel Kadett 2.0l Turbo
I think we also have one of the quickest Toyota 4AGE powered cars - 8.7 @ 152 mph
B18C's did come in auto in the JDM market and some other Asian countries - chec the link

Just some food for thought
just like on b16 auto/ manual cams; there is a difference between auto and manual b18c cams.
dont mind the ignorant people that live in a sardine box and think everyone rides on horses outside the US.. haha

The B16 cams are different auto to manual and the other guys are correct in the auto B18C. I do not know however the differences between the auto GSR and manual GSR cams. I recommend some ITR cams or Skunk2 tuner1/2s

Yeah I might just search for a set of used ITR cams - is the marketplace the best place to find them ??? any other places ??? and what is the average price for a set of ITR cams ??
Thanx
Market place is the best. Look in both the Forced Induction and regular as well. I think 3-400 for a set in great shape. My car made over 700whp with them. Could make more with a bigger turbo then too.

thats pretty tight!
ITR / CTR cams are truely some of the best turbo cams out there....But the honda-tech marketplace would be the right spot to find them ....Dont even bother looking make a post saying WTB 97-01 Type-R cams and let the sellers who wanna get rid of them find you ! I personally wouldn't pay more than $300ish for 97/98 USDM ITR cams...but would spend $350ish on 00/01 USDM ITR cams as they are the same as CTR cams..!

Just one last Q: What is the average price for a set of GSR cams - I know they a bit cheaper than the ITR's coz availability is much greater
Thanx !!!
Mint Gs-r Cams i would pay no more than like $40-50 Dollars.....There is NO DEMAND for them therefore they are EXTREMELY PLENTYFULL.....Dont let anyone get you for more money than that ! And honestly youd see a HUGE difference ALONE with just Type-R cams so if you have the money go for it !
