Default control arm replacement, which is cheaper?

Hello, I have a 2006 Honda Civic Si, that has a damaged right side rear arm.
I called the honda dealership and they gave a a price of $692.88 price and labor.
My question is, should i get it done at the Honda dealership, or should i buy the control arm off of ebay or something and have some independently owned shop replace it? Or is it a possibility that i could do the whole procedure myself, using just normal, store bought tools?

It isn't that hard to change, the only thing you will want to do is get it aligned after so don't do it and forget to align for a few days due to bad tire wear.

well i really lucked out because my brakes were starting to squeak excessively, and my car shook a lot at highway speed, so i got a 4 wheel alignment and a brake inspection. and upon inspection they found (among other things) my rear arm damaged.
but what kind of noise is it? is it like a clank, or a screeching?
