Default help on my spoiler

i recently bought a ctr spoiler for my hatch but it seems to have a problem. It keeps rubbing the middle of the roof when i open the hatch. whats the best way to make this fit without having it touch?

Im guessing its a cheap replica? If you can return it I would. Unless its somehow installed wrong.

yea, well i bought the item used from a local guy. i was thinking of trying to trim it down a bit to make it fit.

maybe if i use a heater gun to warm it up and slowly trim it down.

would that be an okay idea?

did you try loosening the bolts holding the spoiler on that see if they may have enough play in them to give you the gap you need ? just a suggestion

or you can try sanding it down a little so it won't rub.

Either I'm pretty drunk, or it's way late, or a combination of both, that I;m seeing you didn't take off the original first?

trmming it and recoating it with glass is going to be your best bet. looks like the center has sagged. typical with knock offs they take them out of the mold before they are finished curring.

It sounds like you've never seen a Type R spoiler up close. That's not another spoiler underneath it. That's the base of the Type R spoiler.
