question about gas
ive heard that if you got a b16 you gotta fill it up with 91 gas, i barely got my car its a 92 eg and it has a usdm b16 ive filled it up once with 87, and i wanna clarify to make sure i can put 87 and i dont have to put 91.
It needs 91. Using gas with an octane rating too low for the engine will cause detonation and if this happens for a prolonged period of time it can result in serious engine damage. The reason you need 91 is due to the higher compression of the B16.
lol cheap ***. premium is the way to go haha. its not bad that you filled it up once with 87.. but its best to stay away from that cheap ****. i usually stick to plus but i dont got a b16 in my eg. but if i could afford 92 octane i would definately get it.. but right now i can run regular on my little d16z6 and it will run just fine but i still run plus. but back to the topic at hand doing it once isnt going to damage it that i know of.. its more of after some time kind of thing. but dude up there has it right higher compression on the b16
