Ah I forgot, one more question, primer sanding
Ok, so after I get some 2k on the car, and I'm sanding it down to get that perfect surface, should I be using a long block? Like a my 16inch durablock? or should I just use a small handblock, like the flexible meguiars foam one?
Does anyone have input on this?
When sanding 2k, should I use my long durablock? I would think so, just to avoid making waves in the surface.

Your block ideally should be 1/2 as long as the surface you are sanding. So a 32 inch qp should be blocked with a 16inch board. Remind you this is ideal and not always practical. The longer the block the better. The idea is to fool the eye and less waves over a longer distance helps achieve this. Make sure you go in 45 degree patterns as you block then change directions going 45 degrees the opposite way.
Ok, thanks for the tip. In my mind, I was thinking, well, it can only be "better" if I use the long block, so why not. I guess the issue here is finding 16inch 600 grit paper! I'm sure I can find it here somewhere.
use a long block... dont use 600 untill you're ready to go into sealer. if you're just trying to coat it and sand it... do a few coats then sand with like 220 then another few layers 320 then anther few layers 400 and so on and work your way up to 500 or 600 before you go into sealer and your basecoats
a lot of work... im sure someone else will argue that you dont needa do all that... but hey you decide how well you want your car to come out
oh yeah... i hope you know you shouldnt sand in one direction... do a cross-hatching sanding where you go diagonal one way then come back and do it diagonal the other way. you cut faster and more even that way
