Default dragged my car for the first time

I ran my gs-r CX yesterday at Sacramento Raceway and it was fricken hot out there.

My time was very poor IMO.

R/T: .994
I1: 2.927
I2: 6.613
I3: 9.928
MPH(I3): 75.036
I4: 12.717

ET: 15.064
MPH: 97.126

I basically launched @ 5k and I was running 14" Falken Ziex's. I as soon as I launched at 5K, my RPM's would be at 9K right away.

what is you set up in the CX?
the internals are all stock. all i really have in there is a skunk2 manifold, sprung 4 puck clutch, CM 9.5 flywheel, ff.special.1 program from KATMAN, and a Magnaflo exhaust. my launches sucked. I got some slicks and i will e headed out to Sears point real soon. there was too much tire spin. i even got a 3rd to 4th gear chirp.

Drop that 60' time and you should be able to run mid-high 14s.

skunk2 adjustables. the soft ones for a Civic i want the integ rates. my car wasn't slammed when i ran. it was raised up a little so i could use the whole tire instead of just the edge.

wow you should definitely run low 14's or high 13's with that mph. just work on the launch and you should get those times. try launching at about 3 on those tires and that will help a lot.

you should just learn to launch on street tires before you put slicks on the car...

thats a horrible launch...just rediculus...not trying to flame...but you should be pulling a 2.2 or 2.1 60 ft on those tires...that's a high 13 second car

As harsh as his words might sound... they're true. I remember something i heard on "Home Improvement" during my lunch break the other day... "Only a bad carpenter blames his tools". I'm not saying you're a bad carpenter or anything but you should really learn how to launch on street tires before moving up to slicks, a 2.9 is really really bad. Sport Compact Car was running 2.8/2.9's on street tires and then ran a BEST of a 2.2 i believe on slicks, they should have been running low 2's on street tires and 1.6/1.7 on slicks. Better driving is the number one way to getting your car faster, and way cheaper than aftermarket parts.

I ran 2.2 60 ft times on my 13'' vx wheels with crappy stock tires. You should easily be able to bring urs down also. Just practice!

Jason the damn school bus wouldnt break out of the 15s this time. The best time so far is a 14.8. But hes still workin on his launching. One of the other guys that was with us in his b17a teg blew cyl #1 on a 14.0 run with a 75 shot and i bent a valve in the dx on friday night before we went so all in all it was an expensive weekend for us. I raced the 4dr auto teg all weekend and ran a consistant 17.1 all stock LOL but it was fun had consistent .550-.580 reaction times so im getting better. Anyone have a d16z6 or b18b swap for sale? I need a new motor.

See my sig.....your mph is good for LOW 14's on streets and mid/high 13's on slicks.
I ran 2.2's on streets for that run and you should be able to also...
