Check the FAQ at the top of this forum, I could have sworn there was a thread on it.

I have had the head off of my LS countless times and have never replaced the bolts, except for this last time when i upgraded to ARP studs. I have never had a problem.

you're suppose to replace the head studs anytime you loosen them. ARP head studs are stronger and can be reused, so those would be a good investment.

I assume that's a yes? If so, I've never seen that written in the manual. If you could refer me to the page, that would be appreciated.

That's why I asked. The only time I have seen the suggestion to replace head bolts is on internet forums. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I think the Helm's manual would have been more explicit if the bolts are TTY.

no one is arguing

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=changing+civic+head+gasket

sorry, but seriously you could have had your answer 10 hours ago if you just considered that you're not the first person on the internet to want to change a civic's head gasket.

I missed the part where you said it was for a B-series. Maybe if you didn't post 3 times in a row I wouldn't have glanced over that so quickly.

Regardless...
2nd search result for "how to change b-series head gasket"
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...t+&btnG=Search

Do you now understand the concept of a search engine? You can use google just as easily as anyone else. I don't know why you're asking for someone else to search for readily available information for you.

I don't think there is an entire forum out there dedicated to changing the head gasket on a B-series engine.
Do you mean a thread?

That second search result in the last google link I gave you has step by step instructions further down in the thread. It has no pictures, but if you're changing a head gasket I would hope that you don't need pictures to figure out what you're doing.

Depends on the engine. I just did one on a d15b7 and the helm's did not say to replace the head bolts, although it did say to replace other wear items.

B-series may be different. I don't have a manual in front of me right now.
