GSR Girdle on B20 block
Building a B20-Vtec and have read and heard alot about Gsr girdles and their advantages. I have two questions:
First, is it a direct bolt on to the b20 block? If not, where can i find a guide of the modifications i have to make to fit it on?
Second, if i dont run with a girdle, what are the disadvantages? I will not be autocrossing, and not neccesarily looking to have a drag monster either. Just want to have a clean daily driver with some kick. I would like to do things right, so if it is important i will look to get one. Thanks guys

i ran a GSR girdle on my b20b, no modifications, it was a direct bolt on. i also used arp mainstuds for a GSR to make sure i was safe. it worked awesome for me! hope that helps!
Well, for any girdle (GSR/ITR or aftermarket) or main cap that was not previously installed on your block it is highly recommended that you get the block line honed, bored if necessary, so that the block and the girdle/main cap are true with one another.
A gsr girdle is a direct bolt on in any B-series as long as you use the gsr main caps that go along with it. Align honing is absolutely neccesary for proper clearances. If you dont align hone a block after a main girdle installation, you may be retarded. ;p
