How to make GSR a 2.0L??
What size bore does a GSR block need to have 2.0L? 84.5?
And will I still be able to rev it to 8500 rpm?
Thanks.

How does this affect cylinder wall strength, The most boost I would be running in the future should be around 14 psi. will i still be safe?

Im not really familiar with swapping motors and what heads bolt onto which blocks, but if a b20 block bolted up on my GSR then it seems like alot less trouble doing that to get a bore of 2.0 then boring my gsr block.

The b20 sleeves seem weak enough already, i wouldn't overbore them without sleeving first. You can also swap in the ls crank and rods in a gsr block and bore that out to 84mm to get a 2.0L as well.

The 84.5mm is the largest you can go and be safe with the thickness of the sleeve.

What would the rev limit be on a GSR block bored to 2.0?

If the head is stock dont take it over 8200 rpm. if the head is built than it depends on the quality of the rods/pistons/who built the engine. it really depends on alot of things mostly tuning and what parts where changed. i plan on takeing my 84mm b18c to over 9000 rpm with 24+ psi of boost.

almost any properly built head will allow the motor to rev successfully to 10k but making power up there is another story.
