09 Accord V6 Coupe Grill for Lower Bumper
When I purchased my 09 Accord last August, I thought the A/C condenser was a little exposed to road debris. There is nothing in the lower bumper to protect it. Of, course I did nothing about it. This weekend a rock hit it, and the condenser was punctured ($887 for those keeping score at home).
So, can anyone point me to vendors who sell quality grill kits for a 2009 Accord V6 Coupe EX-L? Not looking for anything too flashy. I'd prefer something close to the stock upper grill. I've seen the vendors on eBay, and was hoping to find some other options.
Thanks in advance.

There is not a big demand for that item. I have seen other do it yourselfers's make them... and I am sure they are functional, but I personally don't think they look to good. I'd say if you found one on the bay and you want a grill, buy it.
Yeah, I agree. I've been searching around, and the grills I see just don't do much for me. Unless I find something that looks decent, I'll probably wager the life of another A/C condenser.
That's a bad situation... that gap is huge down under. I don't really know what to tell you, but $800 is a bit expensive to always replace.

On Majesics website, the condenser unit is only $200

Thanks. I thought about doing myself, but I'm restoring my wife's Corvette. I had her rear suspension dissembled, and was in no mood to poke around another car. I took the convenience charge, and had it done. Amazingly, I did not need to replace the dryer, so there was some good news. Anyway, thanks for the help.
Home Depot bumper grill FTW!
Seriously. Screen door material works, and if held in tension will stop road debris.
Remove bumper cover, cut section to shape, secure from behind, reinstall cover.

The screen options are intriguing. I might give that a try. Sounds like a close cousin to the shaker screens Dodge/Plymouth had on their 70's muscle cars.
Thanks for the suggestions.

FYI along with the Vaughn class action law suit (odometer racking up more mileage than actual) there is also another class action lawsuit against Honda for the a/c condensers being too vulnerable to road debris. You should get a letter in the mail in a few months about it. It covers just about every production Honda/ Acura.
