88 civic b16 problems

Default 88 civic b16 problems

ok so i swaped in a b16a it ran good for like the first couple days ten it would be driving and it boggs out and feels like it looses all power then goes again but after doin this for a while it will turn off then wot turn no more and when i check it has no spark what can be the problem ?

check the distributor. possible swap with a known good one and try that. had the same problem last week and that was the cue. hope this helps!

what he said ^. make sure the rotor didnt come loose or something if you replaced it.

Exactly^^^ those things have a tendancy to go bad if the engine has been sitting around for a while. Is your tach jumping around as well?

Beat me to it, the rotor screw can be very tricky sometimes.

yeah its shows code 14 at first then after drivin it around and it starts boggin out it throws 22 and 17

Sounds more like a wiring issue. Who did your MPFI conversion? What ECU are you using?
