Where can I find a quality car cover for a track car? (pretty much on topic)
I found a great place to park my car and trailer at a friend's house. It's out of the city and very safe, but it will be outside. He said the only requirement (neighborhood association stuff) is that it must have a car cover while sitting on the trailer.
So here's what I need:
-something cheap
-100% waterproof. I don't have any glass on the driver's side and the "sunroof" most likely leaks.
-can't blow off while it's at his house
-can't blow off while towing
Here's what I don't need:
-something expensive
-something that's custom made for my specific car
-something that locks or provides security
-fruity colors
-something that leaks
-something that attracts attention
Any help would be great. I already know of a few local car places that sell them, but I would like some experience from some of you before I spend the money. Thanks!

I use a Tyvek (?) cover that I got from Wrenchead.com that I've been happy with. It was less than $100, custom fit and has several eyes on it were you could tie it down and/or lock it.
Now that I have the enclosed trailer, I put the cover on the car in the paddock during rain races (2/3 of my races this year!) so I can push it out from under the canopy and use the shelter for myself. It keeps everything very dry inside.
I wouldn't use it for towing though... any cover is going to flap around in the wind and either destroy the paint on the car or the cover itself.

Drew,
Now we're talking! Any idea if they're 100% waterproof?
why waterproof? unless you get an expensive one, a "waterproof" cover is just gonna promote rust, yes i know youre in arizona... but still. i know what youre getting at, just dont be so set on a waterproof one, a simple cover will do fine for you and just cover your window.
(i got an oem EF hatch cover thats fits quite well on ebay for $60)

This is what I do for my race car..
Store bought car cover
2 Really Big Really Thick grey tarp not the cheap thin blue ones
put the car cover on...
then put the first grey tarp on and secure it down..
and then put the second on and secure it make sure it over laps and doesn't blow up when the wind blows.. tie it down good
put wood or something on the tarps..
I have found that this works pretty well
Don't know how well this will work while towing though.
I suppose you could make some window inserts that get held in place by your window net brackets
Advantages:
Cheap
pretty water tight
looks ghetto (doesn't scream race car)
disadavantages
May not hold up while towing (depends on user and trailer)
tarps will eventually rot away (but not as fast a a cloth car cover or cheap blue tarps)
Looks ghetto (wife may say it's ugly)

I bought one from Wal-mart which was not their cheapest one and I was very dissapointed in the type of fabric and they seemed very cheaply made for how much they cost. I returned mine after a test fit and I am still in the process of trying to find a better one, that is still cheap.
