D16Z6 Swap on my EF (Need some help)
Wsup folks,
I am in need of some help on my swap. About 6 years ago I swapped out my D16a6 for a D16Z6. Ran the car with no problem, I just garaged my car for almost a year now and recently just started it back up. The car started but, it chokes really bad when you beat on the car. I drained the gas tanks and refilled it with a fresh one but it did not make the chocking go away. At this point I'm totally lost and don't know what to do from here. I was told that I need to change my igniter and coil but not sure if it will fix the problem.
With this bad economy I need to get a second opinion so I dont waste my money. So If there is anyone out there that can help me out, please let me know.
Thanks.

could be ignition related...hard to say, did this happen pretty much right after you fired it up after being parked for a year? how are the plugs, cap and rotor?
hmm i would say the same. check your plugs real quick. switch out. i would also say prime your ef so you get fuel flowing thru. usually ppl says prime it aobut 10 times. when i did my d15b swap. i tried to started it and it didnt work until i primed it. remember dont start shooting starter fluid.
