hey guys im gettin gready to put a b20b in my ek that following weekend and i had a few questions about some of the things i need. ok basically i have everything but im alittle iffy on some of the parts.

will the stock ek mounts work? i already have the b series t bracket just need to know if the actual mounts work.

will the b20b timing belt mount work or will i need a si one?

please do not direct me to the thread about the guy putting a b20z in his ek i read it like 5 times already.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Stock mounts will work as long as you have the rear si t bracket.

for anybody doing a b series into an EK, you NEED the EM1/Si timing mount. I heard of people reusing their D series timing mounts but I'd rather do it the right way.

 

The swap is easy, same as any b series. Integra mounts all around except the rear one, use 99-00 civic si. Here's mine installed....

 

i know i need the si one but will the b20b one work becuz they both look pretty much the same?

 

What kind of question is that? You think everyone is making up the fact you need a new mount......looks are decieving

 

the best way to see if they'll work is to push the car when its ready and see if the mount breaks. i went through my d-series and an SI timing mount. then i went out and bought a hasport mount.

 

Actually I don't see any Integra mounts anywhere on your car........driverside oil filled 96-00 Civic ONLY........passenger side mount and tranny bracket 96-00 Civic ONLY......... actually the only mount you can use from an Integra in a 96-00 Civic is the rear mount (not T bracket)........haha and that is your car so you should know this......

As for his question about the cast iron bracket on the cam side b20b and 99-00 Si they are identical, so no you won't need it...........

I really don't think the part numbers are the same from Honda. Go to www.slhondaparts.com and compare part numbers.
