First honda..... 90 Crx si b16a Want to make it a SiR
I recently bought myself a crx for my first honda.... have to say this car is fun
I don't know much about the car itself yet but its all about learning from here. The motor is a B16a (win) anyone ever heard of that? and it has the SiR tanny
What I know it has so far is..
Skunk2 intake manifold
Golden eagle fuel rail
DC racing headers
Hasport motor mounts
NGK Sparkplugs wires
Shitty cold air intake
I havnt took off the head or anything so I'm not sure about in the motor, I was told it was bored alittle and has Wiseco pistons pistons. Any helps would be awesome HT.
Picture. I should have more by tonight.

Where you go from here really depends on your goals for the car. If you are going to do cams I would go ahead and pull the head so you can verify the pistons, overbore and compression ratio before buying parts.
Just because it has Wiseco pistons, does not mean its higher compression. They could be lower compression pistons which is great for a turbo application. If you have your heart set on having a reliable turbocharged B16 powered CRX as your daily, Invest into high quality turbo manifold and turbo, stay away from eBay brand junk.
To be honest for a daily here is where I would start.
1. Do the maintenance, look over the car inspect everything. When it comes to buying a modified car there could be a lot of different issues. Change all your fluids, maybe plugs and wires, and then look through your suspension. See if you find any bushings that are shot, check your upper control arms, tie rods, sway bar bushings. Get the car into 100% running condition.
2. Invest into a security system. Before dumping money into the car to make it go vroom, install a few cut off switches, maybe a pedal lock, anything that will make your car safe. The last thing you want is to throw 3,000$ into performance parts, then here your car driving off in the middle of the night.
3. Drive the car around for awhile, it’s your car you decide what you want out of it. Better handling? Maybe some more power? Who knows it’s your car.
If you do have your mind set on a daily driven boosted Honda, I highly suggest looking into a supercharger. Super reliable straight out of the box, it’s easy to install and will give you that extra power you are looking for. The classic whine of a supercharger is always a plus too.

so...you do realize that for a first honda you have hit the jackpot, right? but iirc the real crx sir gearbox has the lower final drive, 4.266 or something like that. it might be good to check that out. I would want one of the 4.4 final drive boxes personally.
yea I have been told I have a great templet to start with
This tranny is super super close ratio, 70mph is about 5,000rpm's in 5th
Edit: also my block/heard/ about everything else that is aluminum has (WIN) stamped on it? anyone ever heard of that. common????
