yeah get rid of the wheels. go with 16 or 15 inch. 17 to big to rough and doesnt look good on a honda. and get rid of that fat *** rev meter and go with si just like he said

Probably not a good idea leaving your license plate in the pictures. Great start on the hatch. Keep it up.

If you have a chipped ecu then why are you running a vafc?

nice hatch. Do what everyone else said with the si cluster etc.. It could also use a little bit more dressing up.

Doing a 99-00 conversion will make things look a lot better and fix the bumper/fender issue. Do the painted headlights mod too.

On the inside a nice shift ****/boot and some nicer seats would really make a big difference too.

You've already put a lot of time into performance mods, now you just need to dress it up!

Forget what the kids say

That tach will be much more accurate than the factory cluster which is usaully off by a few hundred rpm....the day you start running cams with higher comp youll need a more accurate tach

Having drag raced my EK for quite some time I can assure you the big tach and shift light helped....mounting it there is a little different but whatever works for you...the shift light will go a long way towards consistent shift points ....I changed mine to blue as the yellow is annoying...

Accurate readable tach > Si cluster

The one thing I would do is sell the VAFC and get a chip reprogrammer so you can have a tuner get you dialed in on the fly...real time eprom burner....much better than VAFC...

You can always use the VAFC for a display function I guess

I would also look into building that B18c tranny....B16 trans are weak and always end up with a third gear grind...throw a nice FD in that B18c case with new gears (B16/B18R ratios) and carbon coated synchros from Gearspeed and youll love the car again....plus smoother shifts, longer tranny life

Oh and lose the 6 puk...I used full face clutches and they held great while offering better streetability around town...just get the heavy duty copper lined discs so they handle more abuse...I ran an ACT HD full face and it held like a champ...toda flywheel but even an ACT prolite will do and its like half the cost...although if your gonna drag race the stock one might be better for launches on a lower powered car...toss up...my toda was about 8.9lbs and made the car a little eager in first gear

Its a good start and Im sure its quick...miss my C5 powered EK all the time....grab some 22" slicks and Im sure you can hit some 13's at sea level with a good tune...good times

Any dyno numbers so far? Im guess 155-165whp or so??

looks good just get rid of those rims, exhaust and that RPM Tach... and that blue oil cap and red strut bar. I'm sure you have better taste than that!

nah, no times yet. i also have a fidanza flywheel, i forgot to mention that before. i was planning on losing the vafc when i get hondata or crome for the turbo.

i do need to fix the body issues. a car backed into the front driver side fender, a torque wrench fell on the top of the right fender and a tree fell on the quarter by the rear window. im plannin on repainting it when i get some more money but its clean enough for now, i want a lil more go fast parts...

thanks for the input though guys, keep it coming

3 is too big for that 2.5 is good. dont know who has the tilted exhaust though. just get a custom one or keep yours.

EDIT: nevermind didn't see the turbo part. Still get it custom though.

If that Z has 40k original miles, why would you want to convince them to swap just a good working motor? LOL!

Your car is getting there. Id lose the tach, wheels, shift light and Megan Racing bars. They make some good parts, but those bars are pieces of ****. They are so soft I can use them as pillows when im tired.

Other then that, it looks like it has some *****. *thumbs up*

It looks ok other than the ricer tach and shift light. Also, ditch the VAFC. Unless i'm mistaken, 1999 was a few years ago. There are much better, and cheaper methods of tuning available. Get a chipped ECU on Crome at very least. As for the GReddy kit, it isn't the best turbo setup out there, but if you're getting a deal, go for it. If nothing else, it will serve as a stepping stone for a future setup

As for the 280Z, don't bother sticking a V8 in it. That car needs to be nimble and have a good weight balance. An SR20 or KA24 (both with turbo setups obviously) would be a good starter, but the F20c is where it's at. A boosted F20C would be just unfair...i'd have to confiscate it from you

Emanage is crap. A chipped P28 on Crome is like $175 with a conversion harness. Then you have to tune. It is a much more reliable and much safer method than tuning with the VAFC...there are also many nice features on Crome that you wont get with Emanage or the VAFC. For example, you can set a 2-step and anti-lag...
