what do you guys think about wiring a DPDT switch to the fuel injectors for cylinders 2 and 3 so when you reach cruising speed you flip the switch and burn half the gas to maintain speed.
do you think there would be any adverse effects to this?

doesnt sound very good. you'll burn half the gas and loose half the power, it'll probably backfire, throw a few codes.

Technically, a dual pole single throw is all you need. You would be killing the fuel flow to the cylinders but the ECU isn't going to like not seeing the injector voltage. It will throw a code. Besides, the valving isn't being changed, so the piston will still be compressing air which puts a load on the engine with no benefit of combustion afterwards. Overall, not worth it in my opinion unless you have a lot of time and money to do it right.
