ok, this dumbass kid that lives in my town, has a 94 ford probe right, he messed his motor up, so the retard orders a motor out of a 95 accord ex, 2.2 vtec i think, but i was wondering if this motor would go into my 93 accord lx easily without to much trouble, cuz my motor has 180k miles, and this one has 60k, and i can get the motor for like 450-500 bucks, and will i need a new wiring harness, or will mine work, and what about the tranny???? someone help me out hewre!!!!

 

It should go in pretty easy. You'll need a proper VTEC ECU for that motor. Your wiring harness may work but you'll have to set up VTEC signal and oil lines.

Edit: Don't expect any performance though.

oh, i dont give a crap about performance in this car, i just drive it 35 miles everyday to work, and something is messed up with the car, i think the wiring harness is k.o'd, and i dunno how hard it is to put in a new wiring harness in the car, does anyone else??

 

I have a 2000 Prelude motor in a 92. It drops in, sortof...

 

so, yea, back to my topic please!!!! i really need to find out if this will work easily or not, cuz i have to let the kid know soon!!!!!!

 

There are so many different combinations of chassis and motors I'm not aware of anyone having done this one, but given Honda's homogenous designs yes it would probably be a pretty easy swap.

 

is there any way you could find out for sure, or find out the engine codes for the 2 motors, and the specs for them also?? i thought there was some kind of post like that in here, but maybe im wrong, i just want to find out before i spend 700 bucks on the motor, thanks

damn u got a good deal, well this one has the wiring harness, all wiring, ecu, tranny, and he just payed 1100 for it, so i dunno, but does anyone know if this will work for sure??????????
