I've got the passenger side rotor and caliper off of my girlfriends 95 civic coupe ex automatic. She has 3 stripped wheel studs and one that has snapped (don't ask).

anyway, since it is an automatic do I have to put the caliper and rotor back on to hold the hub in place while I loosen the axle nut?

If I remove the axle nut will the hub come out so I can press the new studs in?

I have searched to no avail.

Its been a long time since I worked on an automatic civic, but if the other wheel is still on the ground the park pin should hold it, if both are off the ground I don't know. You can just stick a long bar through 2 of the studs to keep the hub from turning.

No, you have to take the entire knuckle off, press the bearing out, remove the remanents of the old studs, install the new studs and then press the bearing back in

 

yea...wheel stud replacement is a biatch if you replace them right....there are some shortcuts but i would recommend anything but the right way
