Default Hood for LSVTEC in CRX

I'm sure this stupid topic has been covered before but I can't seem to "nail" down an answer.

I have an LS/VTEC with Hasport motor mounts in a CRX, which CRX hood would fit? It is the USDM version. I've heard the VIS SiR hood will fit, but then I've also heard the ZC one will fit also... But what about the Seibon hood?

Please dont make suggestions like cut your hood skeleton and put washers between the bolts, etc... because I've already done that and want a "smoother" better fitting look...

Any solid answer would be helpful.....

IDK what the problem is with your oem hood....but i had a 91 SI w/ a GS-R Swap w/ Hasport's and a OEM hood and it was perfect for me !

seems like with most mount kits the stock usdm hood fits fine some just get a little rub mark on the valve cover. other than that, should be completely fine.

I dunno... Wish it was just a rub. I couldn't close the hood! I have an 88 CRX HF. Any confirmations on VIS or Seibon CF Hoods?

the new hasport motor wont let you close the hood without spacing it up

ill sell them and buy avid ,az race ,etc, etc mounts

I'm glad they make my axle alignment straighter!

To the original question, can someone confirm or deny whether the VIS CF SiR style will fit on a USDM CRX with LSVTEC and hasport mounts? I do NOT want to put washers on the CF hood either!

YES it will fit you will need to get the SiR hood for the USDM front end. I have had mine on for about a year.before i got my hood when i just had the stock USDM hood all i had to do was cut the webbing out under the hood and it closed but was a very tight fit.

In my 88hf with ls/vtec I had hasport mounts and ZC hood fit fine. Liked the ZC hood kinda different. Never had another hood on car so I dont know if there would of been clearance issues.

Some others Ive seen with variety of mounts just left a little rub mark on valve cover.

I too have an LSvtec in a 90 CRX with innovative mounts and needed a hood to clear the motor.

I used a VIS hood and it clears no problem no spacers or cutting hood ribs. This is what I used.
