Opinions on Aluminum Exhaust Piping...
I've seen where a lot of people building cars go with Aluminum exhaust piping to save the weight over Stainless or Mild steel....especially when you're talking about 3" or larger piping. I know that weight is the advantage. What are the disadvantages of going with aluminum for piping?
Would that be something you guys would or would not recommend for a STREET car?

Aluminum dissipates heat faster which is usually a negative when dealing with exhaust. More heat inside means more velocity for more power. Stainless holds in heat better then mild and thats why stainless makes more power then mild steel.
k lhtperformance makes stainless steel 2.5in piping for 495+tax and the 2.5 aluminum is 550+tax and they have tested it on 600whp cars for 2 years with not one single problem with it and also the stainless weight in at 28 with no muffler while the aluminum only weighted in at 8 without muffler
stainless. its only 20lb difference, i mean if your a **** about weight than go aluminum, but stainless will give you more for your money.
