I am pretty sure anything in the neighborhood of 190 is right

depends on what d series you get. the compression numbers will reflect the CR of the motor and different D series have different #'s

Leakdown will yield the true health of the motor. I just did a compression test and it checked out all the way across. Leakdown is what found the hg was bad in #1 cylinder.

how do u do a leakdown test? and how can u get great compression across the board and then have a bad HG in cylinder 1? You would have compression loss in that cylinder...

It was a tiny blow only noticeable on long drives. It had me stumped why i was pushing coolant but no overheating.
