high idling on cold start > 1500 rpm
hmm, dont all cars rev high usually above 1k so the car warms up quicker, after your car warms up its should be fine, if it doesnt than you have a problem

it doesnt matter if its 100 degrees outside.. if the car is not at operating temp (motor is not warm/hot from running previously) its going to idle high until the temp starts to climb and it reaches operating temp... if you notice.. even right after driving it at operating temp.. running into the store for 5 minutes.. then starting back up.. the RPM's are pretty high.. then the computer/sensors tell it that the motor is already warm/and the idle lowers itself down...
It says in the manual somewhere that you shouldn't let your car just sit and warm up. It says that you should just GO!!! I think it saves gas or something.
