Ooooh...nice.

How much room do you have in the engine bay now? What's firewall clearance like? What's that weld spot in the last picture?

I have B18C now, but still question myself occasionally whether I should have gone H22.

I'm interested in hearing about how it handles. People always say that it's too heavy and will cause understeer, but I'd like to hear from people who actually have the swap.

my firewall clearance isnt much. we had to hammer in the firewall but not too much. I guess the Innovative mounts gave me clearance. the motor just sits just about right. now i need to raise my hood.. ohh well also the last weld spot is the bottom tabs for the radiator. I alot of people been having trouble ghetto rigging there EG radiator in there and I'm happy how the radiator turned out. IT looks good!! anyways we need to fire her up soon. so i'll keep you guys updated. its not much heavier. just to let you know. When they dropped the suspension, my car didnt sag or anything. I'm using 10k up fronts adjustable suspension from an EK so its good! haha

JDM Distributor?

On a side note, I'm jealous. This is exactly what I want for my hatchback. I did it in my 93 Si and it was the most fun I have had in a while. The low end torque is phenominal. My 90 Si is begging for my tax returns so I can get this on the way....

Haha, yeah, found a local guy with a full swap turn key for a eg and he only wants 1700. All I would need to do is get mounts, and swap to OBD1.... *drools*

Funny thing everyone always says how much heavier an h22 is and how much it throws off the balance of the car. I couldnt find weight on a b18c but I know for sure the h22 is 359 without ac compressor. Im pretty sure the B series motors are within a 100lbs lighter. My buddy has an h22 in his CRX and said steering isnt any worse, only thing Ive hear about is keeping traction. A good LSD will solve that problem, traction bar and some sticky tires. Traction bars kill cornering though they work great for drag but thats really about it.

A traction bar is the only way to keep from doing the gangsta lean with the radiator. I got my eg rad to fit but it took alot of work and I had to cut the webbing in the hood out a bit to clear so my rad is still covered under the car.

Pretty positive the passenger side mount needs to be welded in place and drivers side had to be beat pretty good to clear the pulley, but this motor owns in an EF. Just alot of work to pull it off. very tight fit in the bay. Good luck though!!!

Agree. you do have to weld 1 mount. its on the passenger side. alot of work, also you have to get a single underdrive pulley to clear out the drive side frame rail. unless you cut it, but that will just make the chassie weaker. I just went to the machine shop and just told them to cut off the ps steering side off so it will clear out. you still need to bang in the driver side frame rail a bit to make it fit. I'm using the stock h22 alternator and its a pretty tight fit using the innovative mounts.

I'll post more soon. its still at the shop. still need to get her started still. almost done though. especially with the economy going right now, its not going so good lol. but i'll finish her.

It's worth it! Being able to accelerate decently from 30 to 140 in fifth gear is awesome. Also, by tranny, which trans exactly? What is the trans code, like is it a M2B4?

Sweet swap! What would the 0-60 time be for an EF with an H22? I'm guessing around 6 seconds.
