Default B20V Pointers

I am currently running a B16A in my car but I am going to swap out the block for a B20B that I just put in the macine shop to get bored, re-honed cylinders, port and polish, micropolished b20b crank, type r oil pump and type r water pump. I am expecting a gasket kit in the mail tomorrow to re do all the gaskets. The only thing I am wondering about is a good rod/piston combo with this build. I am looking to run somewhere between 11.0:1 - 12.0:1 compression ratio and I want something aftermarket (not oem honda). what do you guys suggest? I am planning on a thin head gasket, itr exhaust cam, ctr intake cam, adjustable cam gears, skunk2 valves and retainers, type r intake manifold, passwordjdm cf whale *****, jdm itr vtec solenoid, PR3-2 head. thanks for the help

I know you said you wanted aftermarket piston rod combo but you should think about the RS machine ITR pistons they make them in 84, 84.5, 85mm and are at a decent price. Cant use aftermarket rods on them but the B20 rods will be fine with your setup just throw some ARP rod bolts in.

Yeah I second that, I think RSmachine pistons will do you good and invest the extra money you save into a quality header

I can't find anywhere to buy the RS ITR for B20, i found a link to it here on honda tech but the links didnt work for the B20 pistons. I was looking for the 85 MM ITR RS machine just to check them out. any links?

You can use aftermarket rods with RS pistons.
