Did I hurt my 2001 Accord?
Hello Honda Folks,
How are you? I have a question for you folks. I recently bought a 2001 Honda Accord EX with the manual trans. It has driven very well over the last month I have owned it. However I may have hurt the thing today driving to work.
I was in bumper to bumper traffic in where I had to pay absolute attention to the road. During the commute, for the first 10 miles the most I could get to was 2nd gear before coming to a complete stop, so I got to a streach of commute that was not traffic and because i was paying a lot of attention to the road I did not notice I still had the car in 2nd gear until I looked down about 3-5 mins later and noticed that the speedo was at 40mph and the RPM gauge was at between 4500 and 5000 RPM.
Did I damage the car doing this? It seems to drive fine as always.
Thanks
L
