where do i get some colored bulbs to replace the old clear bulbs. i looked around and couldnt find small bulbs that go in my car well atleast colored bulbs. my crx is a 91 si and was wondering if the bulbs that light up the rpm gauge the same size as the previous year crxs ?

 

if you dont find any, u could also use light bulb paint. can be found at most arts/crafts stores....or i think ive seen people use model car paint.

but yeah, i have an 89 crx gauge cluster and they are the same bulbs, just different amounts of them.

 

my friend put bulbs size 194r that they sell at the store colored but when i took my cluster apart it uses smaller bulbs. could it be the year of the car users different bulbs? i thought 194r would do the job

 

there are two different sizes of bulbs.
i believe there are only 2 or 3 194's and the rest are 74s.
dont forget about the bulbs that shine on the front of the cluster too. there are 2 of them.

 

unless it is 194 bulbs in my 91 si. and i looked at the wrong bulbs and figured they wouldnt fit? atleast i thought i took out the correct ones but they all look small i dont see any bigger bulbs

 

it should be the 74 bulbs. anyone else wanna jump in to clarify?

this is what i am using FYI. just put in the make, model, year. i put in 1991 honda crx.

 

yea the 74 should be. also do you know of any store that will carry them instead of ordering them from online? the stores i went to only carry 194 in colors and 74 in just clear

 

best bet is to get some light bulb paint. stores do not generally carry them.
