Default Power door setup question

Hi, I have a 97 civic hatchback so of course. power nothing. I have 2 complete Si doors that I would like to put on.

I know I need the floor harness which I should be getting soon. Now I want to put the doors on as wholes. Not gutting them and putting them in my dx doors.

The shop wants 300 dollars to do it that way. Is that good or should I go out on a whim and try and do it myself?

EDIT: If i did it myself it would probably be done closer to summer or in summer, cause the way it looks that the car would be out of commision for a while. I have a garage that the car can sit in too for a few nights if it comes to that. Also I want to do it closer to the summer so when my car isnt available I wont need it to get to school, but me and my friend work at the same place so i can always hitch a ride in his 89 ford escort wagon [;

They want $300 to swap the doors and floor harness? If so, I might do it if I were you. Floor harness looks to be a major bitch to swap out.

Correct. I seen some of the wiring diagrams and to me it it looked like it was in some ancient language [:

It might be pretty hard and Im not to familary with wiring. But for 300 bucks I could do something else ya know?

Use the floor and door harnesses from a '96 - '98 EX coupe to make the whole thing plug and play.

I did it myself but I swapped out the door parts and ran my own wiring. That was only for power locks though, del Sols come with power windows stock. If I hadn't run my own wiring and was swapping the floor harness, I may have paid to have it done or probably not done it at all.

If you want the floor harness swapped and aren't comfortable doing it yourself, $300 for the entire OEM install isn't a bad price at all IMO.

But I also need to save up to get all my paint and body done.
