Cheap Welder Experience
I have been mig welding for about 4 years now with both flux core and gas shielded wire and I have been using a campbell hausfeld welder that I purchased from Home Depot. I have managed to make some great welds with this machine but yesterday I had the opportunity to use a miller mig machine. It was the 120v machine and let me tell you the difference in weld quality was like night and day. The arc control and starting the weld was far superior with significantly less spatter and much better heat control. I also noticed the wire feed was much smoother and much more consistent. I am now in the market for a miller unit just like it. So for everyone that purchases the harbor freight stuff, Im sure it works but the miller is far superior.
