Want to raise my compression??
I'm putting together my lsv and want to bump my compression up a lil bit.
Bottom End:
Bored 85mm ls block
Drop in sleeves
Block Guard
Balanced & knifed edged ls cranck
11:5:1 Wiseco pistons W/rings
Head:
Stock Pr3 head
B16 Mani
Gsr Throttle body
I still need to check deck clearance for the headgasket. This is my first build and i want to try to rasie the compression to 12:1 or 12:5:1 if possible. Is there anyway to squeeze it out without having to change the pistons. Thanks in advance, Chris

u can get a 1 layer head gasket, and replace that pr3 with a gsr head. i think thats pretty much all u can do i would say replace pistons but replacing head and headgasket seams easier and possibly cheaper
you could have the head milled
you put a thinner heade gasket in
both will change p2v and cam timming som becareful
also could get flat faced valves
those are about the only ways you can change compression
other than new pistons or a custom head set-up(where they weld and stuff)

Stay with the compression you have. Get a AEBS or PerformerX manifold and Professional Products 68 mm TB. Your set-up will produce power and still be pump gas friendly.
Not really worried about it being pump friendly cause it is not my daily. I guess i'll stick with what i got and if i'm not happy just change the pistons out. Thanks for your replys
