HELP...Smoke from valve cover
So heres the story.....just installed a turbo set up on my stock ITR. car was driven like this only twice, sadly i didnt get to drive it. Then the day comes when i want to take it to install some fuel system uprgades. So i turned on the car and it idled fine, drove it in reverse just out of the garage and when i put in in first to take off the car bogged constantly and the rpm's stayed up like at 4g's....like any other ITR owner i got worried so i drove it around the block just to come back home and opened the hood just to realize that it was smoking from the breathing valvle on the valve cover. So i took off the oil cap and white smoke came out. But samed like vapor not really smoke.
Any suggestions on what this problem can be. i searched and some old thread popped up saying it can be the rings. But i want to hear ITR owners suggestions so please any input would help really want to get the car running the right way. thinking bout going NA now.

I know nothing about turbo car. But, is the vapor smell full of burned fuel. If so, check your AF mixture and also check out the valve guides and valve seals. By now, the engine should already threw some codes. Check them out to help localize the problem.
have you checked your oil level? just curious cuz i've seen a car smoking from the dipstick because he ran his car down to no oil in an ITR motor (spun a rod).
yea thats what i thought at first......worn rings. Guess i might need to take the the powerplant and do my research....and now ill be selling the boost and goin NA how i first intended too......guess thats what i get for getting the easy way to gain HP huh....
