you mean compress it?? I usually use a huge c-clamp, but I have seen it down with channel locks (I just don't like how it mares up the piston surface.)

usually people have clamps around, so since they already have it, why waste another 5 bucks. dont forget to do it slowly

But you're correct, most ITR owners never see track time, so why bother getting the right tool for the job.
