Drivetrain problems.. need help ASAP
I have a d16a6 with an HF tranny (dont ask why)... Recently ive been having major problems putting my car into gear.. I push the clutch ALL the way down, try to put it in First.. and it goes in with A LOT of resistance. I have to FORCE it into gear.. and when i do finally get it into gear... the car shudders, as if the clutch is engaged. Second gear, I have to force it in also. Third gear goes is with a HUGE grind.. putting the car in Reverse come with a huge, nasty grind as well. The clutch grabs HARD, its a 6 puck dual diagphram action clutch. I tried to adjust the clutch cable a little, but the problem always comes back.. ive actually adjusted it all the way, now theres no more cable left.. what is the problem?!
stretched clutch cable from too big of a pressure plate,
replace your clutch cable about every 15,000 miles now.
Now why did you need such a manly clutch?
Might wanna check the wear on the thrust bearings on the crank sometime also.
