Default ex tranny swap prob

i swapped my dx tranny with an ex and now it wont go into reverse .its really hard to get it to go in reverse and it pops out when you do. pushing over to 5th and reverse is difficult. it wont stay in gears. i put a new clutch in also. mabey the shift likange is backwards. idk. any clues. thanks. it goes into first second and third but not like my old tranny. thanks. gotta get this thing runnin tonight

Sounds like a bad tranny. Is the clutch releasing fully?

i think the clutch needs too be bleeded. it seems to stay depressed sometimes. i think it needs adjusting, but would that cause you not even to put it in 5 and reverse while the cars off. i hope its not a bad tranny.
