Default new to HT requesting some info?

Im new to honda and want to go all motor with a b20 on a daily driven hatch, from what i have seen here in Honda tech , my best option is to build it from the botom end into the head ,, i want to have the feeling that i build my motor but i need some tips from working with the internals anybody have some info that can give me a clue how exactly works a honda motor ,, thank you Honda tech comunity..

my question is were can i find info about the basic workings of a four-cycle internal combustion engine

Society of Automotive Engineers. They have lots of papers by Honda, Yamaha, Ford engineers.

If your not familiar with an IC engine I wouldn't be in any hurry to start with your Honda. Try taking apart a lawn mower engine, or any old Brigg's & Straton a few times to familiarize your self with the components.
