Default A little help please with stud replacement.

Problem: Snapped front wheel stud on my beater 90 Teg.

Solution: I fix it by replacing the stud. Right?

WRONG!

What happens is that I get the wheel, caliper, and rotor off, but after trying to pull the hub from the axle, I look at the POS Haines manual and see that it says
"Due to the special tools and expertise required to press the hub from the steering knuckle, the assembly should be taken to an automotive machine shop..."

Question Is:
I say that's B.S. to Haines, but if I do not have a press, is there any way I can get the hub from the steering knuckle without royally F#$%ing it up?

Sorry for the hostility, but I have been messing with this damn car for too long just to replace a goddamn stud, but I love working on my cars though.

For one, you dont need a press at all to do the job. The Haines will take you the safest route as possible, to prevent injury or faulty installation. You can remove the hub with a slide hammer. Just rent one of those from Autozone.

You can press the hub back on using the 32mm axle nut bolt and AIRTOOLS.

So far, Ive remove 2 hubs that were over 100k in miles and re-used it without destroying the bearing.

good luck
