Stock LS vs LS/VTEC 317whp @9.5psi - AV Engineering Tuned
I thought I would share this with you guys. Our customer currently had a stock LS with Peak-Boost (t3 57trim) turbo kit and made 267whp @10-11psi. With the addition of a GSR head, ITR Cams, Skunk2 Cam Gears, Edelbrock Victor X manifold, and of course dyno tuning the s300 we picked up a very good bit of horsepower with less boost.

317whp/227tq at 9.5psi. For all the correction factor haters, the 317whp/220tq uncorrected was 306whp SAE. The chart showing 250whp was at 9.5 psi to compare the difference at the same boost pressures. The bottom end of course is bone stock so I did not feel comfortable reving out to 8200rpms which clearly would have kept making power to around 340ish whp.

Nice numbers/powerband. It's good to see what a proper head/cams can do.
My setup needs 17psi to make the same #s, with more torks of course. Where can I get this Vtak/TypeR for my VW?

it'll cost you about 6-8k on top of a built 2.0 stroker with the forged crank from the fsi
and there you go
just no one in the vw world will drop the dime to do it, the stuff is made to do just as much or more than Honda's but no one wants to pay to play with the above setup with a cam still on hydraulic lifters and a STOCK AEB head with a t3t67 not sure if it was the HO version or not but 713whp is the most that has been made and that is the most out of a 20v 4 cylinder so far and 615 whp has been made on a 1000cc chip tune with a s362 while only revving to 7500rpms which i think is amazing to make that much power without revving any higher while the 713 was on standalone and revved to 9000 if i remember correctly
i know where a head like this is setting for sale with a supertech valvetrain and would just need a solid lifter conversion and the cams...........and i've seen the flow sheet it flows more than a stock k20 or f20c
pm me if interested its actually a REALLY good price at a very reputable company endyn did it and still has it. some guy dropped it off didn't pay, and never came back. it flows 301cfm max on the flow sheet if i recall correctly

a 20v head ported to hell with oversize valves and a solid lifter with a huge cat cam would be very comparable flow wise to a stock f20c head and with the solid lifter kit you could rev to 10,000rpm's maybe 500-1000 more, with the hydraulic lifters you are limited to about 9000 rpms with a good valve train such as supertech

The highest hp 20v is 857whp
also what turbo was that with?
and i hear you about awd or rwd
i was told you cant get away with itr cams on stock ls/vtecs how do you go about doing it do they have to be advanced or anything ?
importtuner did something similar years ago and the addition of the vtec head added 35whp on a turbo B, i think that was on fmu setup too!
You check clearances. We are running a slightly thicker headgasket and were very careful when it came to dialing in the cams on the dyno.
