new to the s2k and need your help.
im going to scope out a s2k 01 Wednesday.
im going to push it for 7700 if possible, its got roughly 80k on the motor and appears to be in great condition along with some mods.
with the exception of a rebuilt title due to it being stole 2 owners prior to the seller.
ive been involved in hondas all my like but im obly familiar with the 96-98 designs, im told the s2k is a whole different breed of design on exterior and motor.
can you guys give me some recommendations on things to check for on the s2k?
recommendations on what to ask in reference to this car and model.
maybe some known common issues or anything of that nature? I.e - convertible roof, trunk, known window or driving issues.

Just check all the usual stuff. Make sure it's not burning oil, make sure the compression is good, the trans shifts good, etc.
Check the general condition of the car as you would any used car. There's really no big hidden issues.
Make sure you drive with the top closed. The soft top strikers wear out over time and the roof makes a ton of wind noise. You have to replace them with hard top strikers.
Check the VIN to make sure the recalls have been taken care of.

I'd also run a carfax on it. Just because you know it was a rebuilt title due to theft, there could also be numerous things such as accidents etc to look for.
id also make sure that all regular maintenance is up to date, make sure there are no small tears in the soft top, make sure there is no rust in the wheel wells or under the hood anywhere. check all controls just to make sure they work
