ok honda-tech heres my problem just picked up an eg coupe my brake lights dont work but my runing lights work cnecked my fuses there fine then removed the brake switch on the brake pedal and checked the plug there is no power going to the plug so wtf do i do help me out

 

Check for battery voltage at fuse 42 (20A) under the hood. If there is power at this fuse, then the Wht/Grn wire running between fuse 42 and the brake switch has an open.

what u mean by an open?

 

Does your horn work?

What year and body style? This can help.

 

open = grounded = bare wire insulation = bad wire

 

heres a pic o my under hood fuse box it has nothing for my brake lights

 

its a 1993 i just picked it up came wit a ls motor and i think they had it converted for power windows and locks if that helps

As asked by NOFX, does the horn work? If so, test for continuity for the Wht/Grn wire between fuse 42 and the brake switch.

 

the horn wire is cut check the pic

 

that lil wire is my horn wire cut

 

Remove fuse 42 and then check whether the battery-side terminal (red arrow) for fuse 42 has battery voltage. If so, then the Grn/Wht wire is broken somewhere along the red line.
