Just wondering who has the record, how fast, and what was the setup.

 

Wasn't it KG Engineering (red EG hatch) who had the fastest NOS times?

I think it was like high 10's

 

i know Cubish has gone pretty quick on a nitrous only engine -- i am sure he will chime in

 

Jimmy Jones went low 10s on juice and with a stock ECU...

 

I know my buddy Robert Young went 10.8? in 02 on a built LS &135 shot & bullfrog ecu. It's the fastest I know of, but I don't hear much about them anymore.

 

i think graig GARAGE808HATCH went pretty fast on nitrous only in his old hatch.

 

cubish went mid teens on his stock sleeved daily driver. 10.6 or something

i'm sure i could have gotten the car down into the 10.2-10.3 range but i got booted after the first pass because of not having a cage and whatnot..

Red EG hatch GSR motor testing the NOS butterfly (GSR) manifold fogger plate (prototype) He ran I think 150-200 on the plate plus another 110 directport on top.....forged internals

This is all from memory and its been 10 or so years so forgive me if I slightly off...quite a few guys were all nitrous in the begining because of the expense of standalone ECUs and tuning a turbo setup

Now its practically free for tuning software/hardware lol....that and top mount/long tube manifolds are wayyy better then the primitive log manifolds everybody was stuck with back in mid 90's

Im guessing someone could get in the 9's all nitrous these days with a proper H22/23 101mm stroke hybrid and a BIG shot/Medium Shot dual stage setup...mid 10's is pretty damn quick though...big thumbs up for those guys no matter when it was done...

i only went 11.13 @ 122.5 with a 81.5mm B16 on a 125 shot zex wet kit.

we are currently building a 85mm LS vtec 12:1 comp that will be running 200-250hp worth of spray in 2 stages, in a sub 1600lb car.

 

The true answer would be in the 9s by a pro all motor car but good luck getting anyone to admit to that

A purpose built nitrous car could haul serious ***.....8s in a pro car.

I know one of the Westcoast "All Motor" guys a few years ago got caught not once, but twice using a bottle.... Guess thats why he now runs a turbo car...

Crazy, I've never heard that before. I've heard of a couple of others cheating, but never know how much truth there is behind it.

 

SPL Dan on K20a has done 10.67 @ 131mph. Stock K20a2 with 155shot in an EG hatch.

I'll be making some nitrous passes this weekend with an almost identical setup so we shall see
