I need help asap!!!
okay guys please help me. heres the scoop.
got a built h22 in a si civic.darton mid sleeves,pistons,rods,fully built head,cams,full-race turbo kit, (t67 turbo) brand new radiator,fuel pump,1200cc injectors,fuel rail,etc. i took it to a shop for them to complete the wiring and install the turbo kit and exhaust etc.
they had it on the dyno, tuning it with chrome not the best i know.lol. did some runs, the car was fine up to like 350hp. then it made 450 at 14psi. at the point the over flow thing for the radaitor blew with top off it, and they said the hoses are pressurizing and then the car slowly starts to run hot a little. really once u hit boost it runs hot.
now they say i blew a head gasket. and they charge me $550 to put a new head gasket on. while the heads off they put a straight edge on the block to make sure the sleeves was good and none of them sunk. they said it was fine. sent the head off to have it checked and resurfaced. installed a new gasket. put the car on the dyno its still doing the same thing this time 14ps(wastegate) is made 500hp ON PUMP!!
so now the shop is saying its a sunk sleeve. and trying to charge me $1500 to pull the motor apart and fix it. wtf!! they just told me the block and sleeves was fine to begin with. so really i just need to know what else could be wrong with it. is the tuner? could it be a timing issue. is the shop full of **** and just tryin to get money?
NOTE: i ask them about the timing and they said they took all the timing out and it still was pressurizing.
could it be the timing belt off a tooth. ive come to a dead end.lol.i dont know what it could be. so really just trying to see what else it could be. sorry bout the long story.lol
