if it's the inner joint boot that is busted, then yes. When the inner CV joints go bad, the car vibrates really bad during acceleration.

well your axle will pop and the tire will just lay there and it could happen while you are driving and ge stuck on the road..
a simple $15 dollars will save you hundreds and headaches

check the other side axle it could have gotten bent. happened to one of my buddies integra's.

we put it up on a hoist made him drive it in gear and we saw the shaft shaking.

You have a inbalance somewhere. First thing I would do is check you wheel bearings. A axel that is going out can cause hell on wheel bearings, and cause them to fail. I see it all the time at my shop.

Next thing I would do is put the car in park and rev the engine. Say 6000 or so. Is their any vibration at all. If not its not mechanical in the engine and its not your motor mounts.

On solid stands nothing flemsy pull the wheels off put the car in gear and rev it up and let it decel. Any vibration. Run through all of your gears. If nothing Next thing to check is Wheel inbalance.

Did you get a BRAND NEW axle, or a rebuilt? I went through 3 sets of rebuilt axles in just a few months back in 2004 because I kept getting crap axles that would vibrate right out of the box after putting them in the car.
