so yeah its kind of watery not milky its really black and smells like gas a little bit it hardly smokes i just put a new catalytic converter and catback exhaust on

i plan on changing the oil to further investigate but what else could this be ?

 

1.) The oil has not been changed in a very long time.

or

2.) Piston ring seal is not that good causing some of the oil/gas to get past the rings.

Running rich is another possibility. Test oxygen sensor and replace as needed (if over 50k miles on it, just replace); run a bottle of Chevron Techron through each of the next four tanks of gas to clean your car's very old fuel system and the cylinders some, too. Dirty injectors and valves can lead to rich running. Inspect the plugs; if blackened (as opposed to a sort of brown-ish tint), it is likely running rich.

yeah it could be running rich i already planed on getting a o2 sensor but i don't wanna pay oem price and people here have said not to get the local store o2 sensors. the oil looks like it hasn't been changed in awhile. hell when i put my catback on she started running a little better. the gas mileage is about 35 40 to the tank. il change the oil soon as i wake up this mourning and see if anything changes

 

lol, you guys think that stinks. you should own a rotary and have to premix your gas and smell it. i miss mine so much.........

 

The OEM manufacturer is Denso. Go to densoproducts.com; put in car info and get the part number for your car. Then go to Amazon and buy the Denso sensor for around $30 total.

 

bosch at autozone is only 20 bucks or so. i just bought one of a guy in this forum, 2 weeks old for 10 bucks.
