Icon2 Hondata s300 vs. ECTune

Im in the process of deciding which program I would like to use to tune my car. these are the two my local tuner is most familiar with. I would like to know all the pros and cons of each so I can make an unbiased informed decision. Also is it possible to have either or any ems operate with an o2 similar to the way the factory does? What I mean is I trave with this car occasionally and I dont want it to lean way out or run super rich when I change altitudes. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

If you don't plan on doing any of the tuning the s300 is only beneficial if you want on-board logging. An eCtune dealer can tune you without the additional cost in hardware.

If you plan on doing the tuning or making changes down the line, the s300 is currently easier to work with since it's an all-in-one package. Some people prefer the s300 package vs the clunky ostrich + hulog setup needed for eCtune. The demon is an all-in-one package that will be available in the near future to use with eCtune.

As far as the software goes, they're both very capable and user friendly. I still see bug reports being posted for eCtune quite often, but they're processed fairly quickly. Hondata seems to have already handled most of the reports I've seen for the s300.

Both have closed loop o2 operation.
